Hi there, I am a scot, living in Poland. I married a polish girl and we lived in Scotland but moved here with out two kids, Maja, 6 and aleksander, 4. I am an atheist and my wife said it would be ok to have our kids educated without religion.
Maja has started school and it seems she is receiving religious education. My wife has gone back on her word, I think because of fear of her mother and also the system. She will not talk about this and says Maja is old enough to decide for herself if she wants to learn about religion. Hanging watched Nina Sankari on In The Shadow of the Church in Poland I am now more worried than I already was.
Is there anything I can do to stop religion being forced upon my kids?, my wife will not help, in fact we are now divorced. I have a very limited polish vocabulary and fear that even if I get my point across, I will be ignored.
Thanks, Ian Johnston.
